Screen Reader Dictionary Builder

Pick a class, import or sync terms, edit pronunciations, then export for NVDA, JAWS, and Apple VoiceOver.

1) Class workspace
Active: CHEM 113
Tip: collapse to focus on entries

Each class tab keeps separate terms, search filter, optional NVDA regex imports, and NVDA add-on metadata.

2) Collaboration backend local only
Backend: local only (not connected)

Shared editing requires Supabase tables named classes and entries. Designers who connect to the same project will share class tabs and dictionary rows.

3) Import sources not loaded
Template: not loaded NVDA regex: 0 loaded Rows: 0

Required template columns are Text and Substitution. Optional columns are App, Ignore case, and Note. Ignore case values: Yes or No.

4) Edit dictionary terms 0 rows

5) Export for screen readers

JAWS export is a source TSV for Dictionary Manager. To distribute in JAWS, import entries then export an SBAK package from JAWS.

Export NVDA Add-on creates a ready-to-install .nvda-addon file for NVDA Tools > Add-on Store > Install from external source.

NVDA add-on speech dictionaries require NVDA 2026.1 or later. On older NVDA versions, use the exported .dic file directly.
